"Excellent service with the food absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend. On a small note my wife who is partially sighted could not clearly see some of the steps when going down the stairs due to the pattern of the carpet. This however was the only issue with the rest of hotel/ pub be excellently set out and presented. Breakfast was also exquisite. Overall a 5 star stay just make the stairs down more visible for anyone who is visually impaired."
"The hotel is part of the service area on the A1 but, unlike most such hotels, it offers good food as well as comfortable accommodation. We were impressed with the welcome we received - and our dog was happy with the positive attention he received! The chap on reception was able to recommend a good parking spot in Bamburgh, where we were keen to take the dog for a long walk! All in all, a good place to stop!"

"Beautiful hotel and grounds We had a lovely relaxing two night stay in the comfort cottage. Spa was lovely and clean. The food was amazing, great breakfast and dinner and not badly priced at all. My only negative was I ordered a bottle of wine and chocolates to be in the room on arrival and this was missed. However they did offer the bring in the second day but we didn't bother as we had already had wine in the bar on our arrival."
